Picking & Unrest
Support for pecking behaviour and stress-related feather pecking in chickens, with two complementary products that act on both the behaviour and the underlying condition.
Why do chickens peck at each other?
Feather pecking and pecking behaviour rarely arise out of nowhere. Often several factors act at the same time: too high a stocking density, boredom or too few stimuli, bright or prolonged light, heat, or a disturbed calm in the flock. A shortage of protein, amino acids or minerals can also encourage pecking behaviour, as can busy periods such as the moult. Once it has started, the behaviour can spread quickly through the flock.
A well-considered approach therefore focuses on two tracks at once: tempering the behaviour itself and making the birds stronger from the inside.
Our approach
We combine two complementary solutions:
- PikStop. Supports with unwanted pecking behaviour and helps to draw attention away from the feathers.
- Immuno-Plus. Supports the condition, the natural resistance and the recovery, so that the birds get through a stressful period more resiliently.
Together they offer a total solution to tackle both the behaviour and the underlying condition and stress sensitivity.
Alongside the supplements
Supplements work best together with the right environment. Provide sufficient space, distraction (for example pecking blocks, green feed or scratching material), a calm light regime and a balanced base feed. This way you tackle the causes and the symptoms together.
Important: These product combinations provide nutritional support only. Any medicines are available solely on veterinary prescription and not through this webshop.
