Excl. VAT & shipping
Pure glucose as a directly absorbable energy source for birds in periods of increased energy demand or reduced feed intake. Also suitable for improving the taste of medicated drinking water.
Indication
- Extra energy source when energy demand is increased
- Support during stress, transport and recovery
- Encourages drinking in sick or weakened birds
- Improving the taste of medicated drinking water
When to use?
Dextrose is pure glucose and is absorbed directly by the body without further digestion. This makes it particularly useful in situations where birds need energy quickly or eat less than usual.
Typical applications:
- Transport and shows: gives birds an energy boost before and after moving them
- Warm weather: supports fluid intake and energy balance in the heat
- Illness and recovery: encourages sick birds to drink and provides direct energy
- Courses of medication: masks the bitter taste of medication in the drinking water
- Breeding season: extra energy support for breeding and feeding birds
Replace the drinking water daily when using dextrose, especially in warm weather. Sugar solutions spoil faster than plain water.
Usage
Dosage: 15–30 g/l of drinking water
Dissolve in fresh drinking water. Prepare fresh daily.
A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied daily diet or for veterinary advice.
